ESET Hacking

Sometimes the best media plan is simply paying attention.

When news broke that China had hacked the US, we saw an opportunity to make ESET part of the conversation.

Working against the clock, we created a contextual print ad showing how easily anyone could be hacked, timing it to run alongside the story in the following day’s newspaper.

Simple idea.

Right place.

Right time.

This was my first awards experience, and my first experience of the power of simplicity to get a message through.

Times Press Ad Challenge - Silver

Client: ESET Antivirus
Role: Copywriter. This was a proactive idea my partner and I came up with for the Times Press Awards. We developed and produced it within 24 hours so it could appear alongside the breaking news.
